Guy Murray currently lives and fishes in Central Pa. He also spends time at his cabin in Western North Carolina fishing and guiding there. He has been an avid fly fisherman for over a decade.
After leaving the corporate world and his position as CEO of a behavioral health company, he devoted his time and energies to following his passion for fly fishing. In his words “I love fly fishing. It is a sport a beginner can enjoy as much as a competitive angler. Many people are intimidated by the sport. It is our jobs as ambassadors of the sport to show people it is not as difficult as it may seem to enjoy”.
After getting experience in competitions and tournaments he decided to improve his craft through a mentorship with George Daniel. He has studied fly fishing and done years of lessons with George. In fact he continues to do so today saying “you have to keep learning in this sport because it continues to evolve and circumstances on the stream are ever changing”. He has enjoyed success in many tournaments and competitions and is devoted to continued growth in the sport.
Guy voluntered with his local Veterans Service Program and discovered a passion for teaching fly fishing and guiding. That is what led him to become a professional guide. He is currently fishing as often as he can. Trying to gain experience in more techniques, situations and fishing different types of waters”.

Eric learned to fly fish in the mid 90’s while an undergraduate student at Penn State. Growing up in central Pa allowed Eric to explore the renowned streams of the region including Spring Creek, Penns Creek and the Little Juniata River.
Within a few years Eric’s passion to travel to fish was stoked when he fished throughout Yellowstone National Park with their volunteer fly fishing program. Two trips as a volunteer fly fisherman left him wondering what else the west had to offer. Since that initial trip Eric has fished throughout Colorado and Wyoming, often opting for the smaller, lesser known tributaries and the smaller crowds. The Jackson Hole, Wy area is a favorite destination. Trips to western North Carolina and Tennessee’s South Holston River have also helped feed the travel bug.
Eric began guiding while working in a local fly fishing shop from 2006-2012, before guiding on his own and eventually working with flyguyinc. In addition to fly fishing central Pennsylvania, Eric also guided for whitetail deer in Ohio for 7 seasons.
Recently Eric has enjoyed success within the local fly fishing tournaments. In 2015, with teammate Guy Murray, they finished 3rd in the Wildlife for Warriors Spruce Creek Classic. 2016 had two first place team finishes at the CCYSB On the Fly and Wildlife for Warriors Spruce Creek Classic, respectively. 2017 had a second place team finish at the CCYSB On the Fly with a third place individual performance as well.
